Three city mayors known for their strong stance against corruption have joined forces to promote good governance and ensure taxpayers’ money benefits citizens rather than lining politicians’ pockets.

Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto, Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong and Isabela City, Basilan Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin are the prime convenors of the “Mayors for Good Governance” crusade, which seeks to strengthen transparency and accountability in local governments.

In a recent meeting, the three discussed strategies to combat corruption, emphasizing that public funds must be spent on services and programs that directly benefit residents.

They also stressed the need to move away from political optics and focus on substantive reforms.

All three mayors have been recognized for their independent leadership styles and willingness to confront entrenched political practices.

Their joint advocacy aims to inspire more local executives to adopt policies that prioritize public welfare over personal or political gain.
