GUINDULMAN, Bohol — Bohol Island State University’s (BISU) Candijay Campus and the newly established Guindulman Municipal College (GMC) formalized an academic partnership on Aug. 19 with the signing of a memorandum of agreement at the GMC campus in Barangay Guio-ang.
The agreement outlines resource-sharing between the two institutions, including access to library collections, use of steno machines, and faculty and student training support for the Bachelor of Science in Office Administration program.
GMC officials expressed gratitude to BISU President Anthony Penaso and other university leaders for their support, along with local officials such as Education Committee Chair Abigail Lagura Gutang, Vice Mayor Jimmy Busano and Rep. Kristine Alexie Tutor.
“This MOA is a milestone in the history of our town and our beloved Guindulman Municipal College,” Mayor Albino “Ben” Balo, who also chairs the GMC board of trustees, said in a statement. “The collaboration between BISU and GMC proves that when we work together, we can achieve great success.”
Local officials said the partnership aims to improve educational opportunities for students in Guindulman and nearby communities.
