VALENZUELA, Philippines – The city of Valenzuela has provided 1 million pesos in financial assistance to the province of Cebu for earthquake relief and rehabilitation efforts.
The aid was delivered by Valenzuela Mayor Wes Gatchalian, who was welcomed by Cebu Gov. Pamela “Pam” Baricuatro.
The delegation also included Councilors Sel Sabino-Sy and Richard Enriquez, Dr. Arnaldo Antonio and staff from the office of Sen. Win Gatchalian.
In addition to the cash aid, Sen. Gatchalian sent 500 sacks of rice to support families affected by the 6.9-magnitude earthquake that struck northern Cebu.
Baricuatro expressed gratitude to the Gatchalian brothers and the people of Valenzuela for their compassion.
“Thank you for your compassion and solidarity in helping the Cebuanos,” the governor said.
