Child Rescued from Drowning in Quezon; Man Missing in River

INFANTA, Quezon — A child was saved from drowning by the Philippine Coast Guard after falling off a pier while playing in Infanta, Quezon, authorities said Wednesday.

The victim, identified as 11-year-old Harvey Sanoy from Sitio Rosas, Barangay Dinahican, was rescued promptly by coast guard personnel.

Meanwhile, a search continues for a 29-year-old man from Barangay Magsaysay who was swept away by floodwaters in a river in Barangay Pisa, General Nakar, Quezon, according to the General Nakar Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office. — Nilou Dagos
